From Madrid to Dubai: Tatel’s Entre Amigos brunch gets a five star Olé!

Hola Dubai, picture this: the doors of Tatel open up and you enter to the most welcoming, smiling and sizzling beauty of bailadoras swaying you inside. Spanish elegance blended with an authentic, roaring twenties atmosphere envelop you immediately as you walk towards your seat, placed around gorgeous marble tables. 

The celeb hotspot backed by Cristiano Ronaldo & Rafael Nadal, Tatel, located in the Hotel Boulevard, Autograph Collection has added an unmatchable imprint in Downtown- and we were all about it as we hit Saturday’s bull’s eye at the Entre Amigos Brunch. Dubai, get ready to experience haute Spanish gastronomy; and we’re not just talking about the cuisine; every detail from service, décor, vibes, sip and bite, is made of smiles from the heart, passion for the rich Spanish culture and love for dinning luxury. And don’t get us started on the brunch party energy- we’ll let our claps do the talking.

After we were seated and greeted, we started with our first round of drinks as we chose our main courses ahead and as we anticipated the appetizers. There were 7 different dishes to share on the table, each more delectable than the other, we were absolutely ready to dive in. Oh and do not opt out on Tatel’s own extra virgin olive oil that tastes like an absolute elixir.

Tortilla Tatel, Croquetas Tatel, Patatas Tatel, Gazpacho Tradicional, Ostras Crujientes, Tartar del Mar & Aguacate al Ajillo were the Entratas that graced our table.

The Tortilla Tatel is a classic Spanish dish and Tatel’s special take on it makes it melt in your mouth, the balance in the mix is truly perfect; same could be said about the famous Croquetas made with premium Cecina- which is ultimately one of the finest Spanish delicacies you can have. Wash those down with a shot of Gazpacho as we move on to the seafood side of the menu.

For the love of Spanish seafood, the Oysters’ Tempura bites were nibbles from flavor heaven. The freshness of the Red Snapper Tartare mixed with Piquillo Peppers & Red Onions created a delicious explosion of spicy after-taste and we couldn’t get away without a bit of garlic dressing which was brushed seamlessly on the fresh Avocado with Shrimps.

Now, the centerpiece of our Entre Amigos brunch – the Platos Principales, we tried the Falso Risotto de setas, Lubina and Filete de Costilla. Although we were getting a bit full from the entrantes, we made sure to head to the charming bar where the bartender entertained us with some pretty impressive shaker moves, leaving space to get on with our meal.

We were served premium Rib-eye Steak, paired with Sweet Potato Purée and Chimichurri Sauce, it was sublime. The Sea Bass Fillet was as divinely delicious with portions that made perfect sense with the assortment of starters we shared. The fillet was accompanied by a special green sauce, the secret ingredients whispering in the plate. Now, come take a walk on the sweet side.

You haven’t had cheesecake if the not THE staple Tarta De Queso that’s been key part of the Tatel dessert offering.

Between that & and the Churros with Chocolate Sauce, we were already way high transported as we had started dancing to the smooth sounds of the Saxophonist who tastefully jammed with the lovely resident DJ who played all the right tunes, everyone was singing along with their bites and that was before the real dancing action took off!

Tatel’s entertainment fueled the energy with firey music and it was only a matter of time before everyone was on their feet dancing. 

It was truly contagious, tables were removed from the center and everyone was putting on their best dance moves, while the cocktails were pouring- the mixologists were up and going serving Tatel’s finest concoctions. You have to try the Rubenjito! Just go and ask for it.
